Can I Bus - at the time it came out, it had the potential to be an instant hit. We all know how that story went. HOWEVER, looking back at it from today's perspective it's a severly unappreciated artistic album. Shame on us for shunning Bis. BUT THERE WERE 2 OR 3 SONGS ON THERE THAT JUST STRAIT UP SUCKED... I've really grown to like this album
Classic - ehhhh no, but a very creative unappreciated plethora of music
2000 BC - underground classic. excellent buzz in the underground. Didn't dissappoint - but people came up with ridiculous reasons to hate this album (no concept tracks bullshiiit)
CTHS --- hahaha HELL NO
Mic Club - classic - NO WAY, but good album --- came out of left field, little to no promotion, consistent but not as good as can i bus and 2000 bc
RTJ --- hmmm an interesting one - i'd say underground classic just due to the essence of it being a collaboration album. Canibus was great on it, Stoupe REALLY came through as i hoped, both together was a masterpiece....
* Classic, pretty much for same reasons as 2000 bc
Mind Control - NO WAY
HH4S - NOPE
Cloak & Dagga -- too inconsistent, not sure whether or not i like this album --- its decent but at times awful

I voted for two.
Can-I-Bus mainly for nostalgia, but really that album was ahead of its time. And it has my two favorite Bis joints of all time-- I Honor U & Buckingham Palace. 2000 B.C. was dope but it wasn't versatile enough for my taste.
Rip The Jacker for obvious reasons. I don't think he'll ever top this album. Micclub would've been his best if that was produced by Stoupe.

Same thing here. And if Virtruvican Man was not a mixtape, never leaked, and sold as an album, i'd consider that one a classic too.

Oh yeah, I only had in mind the albums up to RTJ, from there on they all blow too. So I think 4 out of the 8 albums were classic, but they alll had their strong points, even the wack ones.

^^that's just what i was thinkin... they did some stupid stuff to the crazy tracks like stupid producers, home atlanta, and broke ass... but if they didn't do those things and kept the album in the original format... it would be a classic
so my list is like this
can-i-bus - i don't have the album in it's entirety so i can't call it a classic tho i've heard basically all the songs and i like em all... yet still i can't say
c true hollywood - some dope tracks... but far below par
2000 BC - straight up lyrical classic... underappreciated
micclub - like someone said before... the more u listen the more u love it... it's becoming a classic to me ALTHOUGH i could understand how other people coudln't like it
RTJ - no fuckin way it's anything but classic....
hip hop for sale - the virtuvian man was classic... but the changes killed this one for me again... even tho i don't have this one it's in entirety either... i love the mixtape version
C&D - it's gangsta... PXO is underrated and overhated...
bar war - classic just from those 2minutes released

I would say in my personal opinion, Can-I-Bus and 2000 B.C. are classic
and even tho i think RTJ sucked, i think it deserves classic status just for its subject matter

yeah get me, rtj is one of my faves, but since then for me, he lowered his standards. but dont get it confused i'm glad he made that album!!!
people feel this cloak and dagga army raps but it not for me
listen to master thesis curriculum 101 then compare them to...anything after rtj!
i'm still playing micclub and rtj like they dropped a minute ago.
if bis in it for $ now, no one can begrudge him that, but if it still music thats pushes him, then i wanna see him indie again
but yo topic-al you got a myspace???

to me i'd say can-i-bus, 2000 BC, Micclub and RTJ. scattered among the other albums are classic tracks all over the place though.
can-i-bus gets hate, but it is truely a awesome hip hop album. the timing was all wrong for it though. the whole album has an old school feel to it with new school rhymes. if it came out today as an underground record people would be nuttin over it. instead though it came out in the mainstream in 98 when old school wasnt cool yet. hip hop was moving into a futuristic zone, listen to the 1st pun, jay z vol 2 and 3, 1st dmx etc. polished, hard hitting sounds like never before were radiating through the air waves- swizz beats, timbaland and all those other dudes. bis had a buzz as huge as anyone and when his album was gonna drop people figured it would be like the other albums out, but he switched it up and went old school and no one wanted to hear that. the beef wit LL and bad press didnt help either and that album never caught on, even to this day.
2000 BC is verry linear and doesnt stray from battle, but thats not a bad thing. shit is dope as hell and no one has done something like that before or topped it in terms of battle sense. so that stands as a classic. dont forget also, it was bootlegged 6 months to a year before the actual release so just cuz it didnt sell well doesnt mean heads didnt get it. lots of people got the bootleg and had played it out by the time the real thing came out.
Micclub- classic no doubt dont have to go into much detail on that one. bis' crowning achievement was sptting 100 bars and on micclub he does that on most of the album with very very few filler lines. plus he battles himself and has a topical track like drama on there. beats are awesome also, nothing really stands out at you but thats the point. the understatment of the beats shows they are only there as a backdrop to the insane rhymes.
RTJ- classic as well. before it theres been nothing like it and after there still hasnt been and wont be anything like it.
