3rdhoax
How many people out there is fimiliar with this story? Do you believe it? Or is it a super elaborate hoax?

For those that don't know the John Titor story, here it is in a nutshell.

Basically, it's about a guy who lives in the year 2036 and he travels back in time....to 1975....to retrieve an IBM 5100 computer to fend off the coming "Y2K" problem. See, whatever the "Y2K" problem was, it of course didn't happen in 2000, but the "meltdown" supposedly occurs sometime around 2036, and that's why he was sent back, and the IBM 5100, contains a special code in it's operating system that can stop the meltdown.

Well, in and around the year 2000, John Titor started posting his story all around the internet and answering people's questions about certain topics. He also posted pictures and skematics of his time machine. He also posted a few predictions for the coming years. Appeartly, he hasn't been heard from in a few years, persumably he's gone back to 2036, but I guess we'll never know until we reach 2036. In 2000, while his was in our timeline, he stayed his mother and his younger self.

Here's a whole website dedicated to him: www.johntitor.com

Now, I ask you..........do you believe this story, or a is it a huge hoax! The weird thing is that it's kind of hard to prove him wrong because by simply traveling through time, he changes things. So some predictions he makes have in a sense come true...and others were completely wrong...but again, you can chalk that up to John Titor traveling through time, hence disrupting the time line for certain things.

Personally, I think it's a super elaborate hoax, but it's one helluva story. I always thought about unleashing something like this on the net, but I wouldn't even know where to start.

It's bullshit. None of his predictions have come true either, so I think that's valid enough to show somebody was bored and decided to come up with a story.

And what kind of code would a shitty old computer have that could prevent a meltdown? I can't even understand the possibility, sounds like some generic sci-fi shit.

That should answer anyone's question.

Yeah I can travel back in time in a tahoe but I cant duplicate a IBM 5100.

I have to be honest guys.

I'm nothing but a Proximo/Berserk/Iron Mullet alias.

The three of us were tripping on peyote one night and thought this stunt was a good idea.
