The reason i got into these dudes is cuz i went on a climbing/camping trip with this DJ guy, and he hates metal but he has guilty pleasures and was like "listen to this shit" i was like WTF?

A.J. Minette quit the band (the guy doing the epic solo) and i heard rumors that he's in an indy band, or that he's going back to school for classical music, or that he's giving lessons. What i do know is, based on his facebook info is that he's sick of Metal.

I can't get over the solo in this song, 1:59 in the video is like HOLY SHIT.....

I play guitar and I'm in a band, I've been listening to metal for awhile, not saying these guys don't have talent but they're wasting it on music I've heard a hundred times before.

It's like you can be an amazing drummer but if all you're gonna do is tap the double pedal a million times like everyone else does then what's the point of even doing it?

This isn't generic metalcore.
Obviously it's influenced by modern trends in metal, but it has extended solos and complex structure.
This is progressive metal.
I doubt you have heard much from these dudes.

BTBaM are quite awesome, their Alaska and Colors Cds are amazing

and I listen to plenty of progressive metal, it's not like I limit myself, I'm always fenin for something new and interesting to come out so I'm always looking. I listened to these guys awhile back and they didn't impress me all that much. I think the solo is cool and all but it's not like scales haven't been done before, simply put I've Heard It Before, and it bores me the way these guys execute it, to each his own though, I'm not hatin'

Anyways Petey you don't have to like them or think they're original or whatever, you just can't generalize them as generic metalcore because they aren't, for the reasons I already pointed out.
