What's this class about?
Srry for responding so late. I am planing on studying abroad in the summer to Kerela, India for Sociology. So the professor wants everyone who is going to India to take this class before we leave in the Summer. So we basically learn everything about India, food, culture etc. We are going to be learning the Malyaalam language which is spoken in Southern India. We will be visiting a Hindu temple and an Indian family and we have to write a paper on what Americans perceptions of India is. We also have to submit a proposal of some topic we would like to explore further: Religion, politics Micro-finance etc.
Here is a how the course is described in my syllabus.
