Have you ever heard Bis records, even he can't remember all his verses. Eminem did it at a concert I went to for the Eminem Show and it was for the same reasons, for the songs that aren't as popular he needs a reminder. Either way, it doesn't matter because I find it that it makes the performance clearer.

that whole rhymin over the track thing is like the common thing to do nowadays in hip hop. Everyone does it. When I bought the wu tang 8 diagrams cd/dvd it showed one of their performances and they were doing the same thing. nobody in the audience was minding at all and I mean there were like well over 1000 people in the crowd.

Rhyming over the vocal tracks is nothing new, everybody does it.

When we perform shows, we usually mute the main layers and leave the adlibs, so if we skip a word we make sure its one of the adlibbed words that way it still picks up through the PA, and even if it doesn't work, there's always a hype man or three to pick up where you left off
