Where did Bis or Murray say that? Link please.
Also, if you're saying releasing an EP, which is supposed to be a preview of what's to come, was put out knowing that these were the weakest cuts then thats a shame. It makes a seem that Undergods don't care about their fan base if they SELL throwaway tracks.
You need bis or murray to tell you what's pretty obvious?
They sold an EP, extended play, which sounds like tracks which would have been made after production of the other tracks, they sound very mainstream Hip Hop style and not the deeper darker lyrics both of them are known for.
EP stands for EXTENDED play.
LP stands for Long Play.
The EP was something fun and a taste of what is to come, it is not the LP, the EP had tracks of different styles and moods.
If you feel an EP is the same as the LP which is 3 times its length, then that isn't normal. I think if we break down the concepts brought forward in them records, and the lyrical content, its quite clear that the pair have a lot waiting for us in the full album, rather than "throw away tracks" or however you wish to call them, they wrote much of the work in the studio while recording, the whole thing was written in 2 weeks, I personally highly doubt that the best of them cuts were used for the EP.
To claim that they were simply doesn't follow logic or what an EP and LP are about, the two are different and used for different purposes in terms of marketing and promotion. For example, you wouldn't advertise an EP to death, for one you wouldn't get much returned as the LP is more expensive, also, seeming that the pair have no clout together as a unit, this will also change that.
Seeming that M-80 is on the case with this one, I am more than sure the dude wouldn't let the best be served up first, but don't quiz me, mail M-80, he's a very reachable type of guy and see what he has to say, you can say I'm psychic because without even asking I know the answer.
Does that make me some sort of amazing being OR someone who's able to use logic rather than wild claims which don't really add up.
Peace,
Ferdowsi
