Lou called me you like two days ago and here’s what happened, thanks for helping out with questions Members:

How do you feel about the on going “rap wars” between all these labels and artists? For example Nelly & KRS? Is that good for Hiphop?
I think it is a cycle, in order to have peace you have to have war first, and I think it defines the true nature of hip hop, emcees defying one another.

How do you feel about the on going war against terrorism? How does this war affect Hiphop since 9/11 everyone seemed to come together but now there is so much separation in the Hiphop world?
Terrorism has always been a tool that the oppressed use against their oppressors, and for the 1st time in history Americans are threatened by true terrorism, I think it will make people grateful for the freedom they do have, an aside from the innocent loss of life the present situation is no different from the preludes to the wars of the past i.e. – revolutionary war all the way up to Vietnam; Hip hop is the voice of Generation X and today’s rappers are tomorrow’s poets, the one’s who convey the message that future generations need to hear in regards to crimes against nature and / or mankind. We are living in the modern day Rome.

How do you feel about the mixed feelings about CTHS? Some really think it was a great CD due to the concept and message it was trying to get across while others think that it was just a “mistake”. Did you get the reaction you really thought you were gonna get with the album? Why or why not?
It was a stepping stone into my independence as an artist and what it is remains to be seen, the real affects of it remain to be seen.

Which book and song have had the biggest impact on your life? Not really your favourite book and song but just which ones have really influenced you.
The way you see life, “The Ascent of Man” by J. Bronowski. I’m mostly inspired by music without words i.e. composers like Verdi, Mozart, Puccini, Bach, Brahms and Strauss. I like Dylan, Carly Simon, Jethro Tull, Best of #5 etc . . . I have been inspired by the poetry of William Yeats and Kubla Khan.

What will the next album be life, Can-I-Bus, 2000BC or C True Hollywood Stories? What’s up with the Horsemen? Who’s down and who’s not?
Poetry does not have always have to be about something in particular, poems can be things just by themselves, I would hope that each project I do is unique and judged by the genuine effort within it, half a dozen dog-eared pages in the book of hip-hop . . . The original cast of the Horsemen still remain from my point of view nothing has changed but I feel each artist is still coming into their own. I pray everyday that it does happen ‘cause I respect them to fullest and as a team we are unstoppable.

Will there be a battle between Canibus and Eminem? Live or on tracks or both?
It’s up to Em, he was my “Stan” first.

Are there any beefs with LL, Clef, Beans (ROC) or any other MC’s you had beef with in the past?
Nothing ongoing that I’m aware of.

Since we know you have been mistreated by the industry, what known MC’s still show love?
Every emcee I meet known or unknown shows love, sometimes silently nonetheless I know the love is there.

When are you coming to do shows in the Philly, D.C., NYC, NJ, etc?
Ask Lou.

Would you consider going to Philly and ripping down the “Come-Up Show” with Kosmic Kev & Q Dawg? We hear they want you do kick some freestyles on their show.
I’ve always like Kev’s show and Q is cool peoples. Schedule permitting I don’t see any reason why not.

Any guest appearances on the new album?
Yes, it will be unveiled soon.

Do you plan on working with Journalist in the near future?
Journ is my life-liquid partner for life.

Did you hear the rhyme Journalist kicked on Scribes of Life? Saying you are the illest alive?
It was much appreciated.

Was there any other record companies that were trying to get you to sign?
Of course, but the details of the deals are paramount in my decision as I have my own label which will soon be revealed and will offer deals to the illest true artisans out there, as well as be home to my solo release.

Do you feel there is no separation between science and spirituality? When I say this do you feel that one can’t exist without the other?
One supports the other regardless which one you pursue first, in the end it will all make sense.

There we have it straight from the illest.

EZ, E
